Horrible journey to Mumbai

My wife and daughter were booked on Air India flight from Riyadh to Mumbai. The flight goes via Delhi as one stop. They said the plane will not be changed from Delhi to Mumbai.

It all started when they boarded the flight in Riyadh. The flight took off. I forgot to give water bottle with her. (Yes. It is needed these days) It is a hot summer in Riyadh (50 C). She might have asked for water for more than 2 or 3 times, but they refused to give her water after second time. And soon they started serving Beer and alcoholic drinks on the flight. All the single guys started getting drunk and started teasing ladies on the flight. Couple of guys in fact pushed her while walking pass the corridor. It was complained to the flight attendants. But they refused to do anything, saying these guys are drunk. A guy was just about to misbehave with her. He came and sat close to her and started that nasty stare and passing of comments. Air India staff was watching this but doing nothing.

The flight landed in Delhi at 5:00 PM. When the flight landed in Delhi, they said the plane will be changed. As per the schedule this flight should have taken off at 6:00 PM. Guess what, they did not inform her which flight she should board for Mumbai. Everytime she tried to enquire about it, she was rudely sent back. Somebody came and told her that a flight planned for them is about to take off in 10 minutes and she is supposed to board it. The flight took off at 9:30 PM. From 5 PM till 9:30 PM they asked her and everybody to wait and did not even care. Forget about giving snacks, water or tea. Under a great torture she somehow managed to board the flight. And those nasty guys were also present there and started doing the same.

When the flight landed in Mumbai, she found that her all three baggages are missing. And there was no phone booth inside so that she can call me. She had to go through all the formal procedures and it was too long after the flight. I was worried and called Air India office. They said nobody in my wife's name or daughter's name was travelling on any of the flights from Delhi to Mumbai. I was shocked. In this technology world, these guys were checking passenger list which was printed. I told them to searh using my name, wife's name, daughter's name and surname. Everytime he used to take 15 minutes to check the list because it was printed. If only the list was available on compute you can search using any parameters at one click. But this is Air India.

Finally she came out and I got relaxed. Then I listened to this horrible experience.
